The Talents Development Committee, the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Macao Foundation have jointly launched the “Talent Training & Certificate Examination Incentive Scheme”, with its pilot phase focusing on language proficiency tests, which ranges from November 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018 (hereinafter referred to as the Award Period). All the Macao residents who have taken the language proficiency test listed in the table below in the Award Period and achieved the designated level will receive an award of MOP 1,000 (Multiple attendances of the same test and award period are counted once only).
The Scheme aims at galvanizing residents into participating in certificate examinations, training and upgrading their application skill and language levels. In response to the needs of social development and enlargement of cultivation of talents, the Talents Development Committee have compiled the award catalogs and award scopes. Language proficiency tests of commonly used language are included in the first phase. In the future, the committee will consider further expanding the certificate examinations to other occupational fields, to encourage participation in more and diverse certificate examinations, with the target of enhancing their personal career skills and professionalism.
Macao residents, at or over the age of 15 on the date of application, who have registered in the Talent Registration System and taken part in the tests during the Award Period is eligible to apply for the award. The application documents must be submitted online, and will be approved by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau. Awards will be issued to winners by the Macau Foundation.
