Talents Development Committee

To strengthen communications with Macao residents working or starting a business abroad, the Talents Development Committee is to organise two seminars on 5th February 2015 (Friday), 3pm to 6pm, at Lecture Theatres 1 & 2, Wui Chi Building, Macao Polytechnic Institute, sponsored by the Institute, in the hope of providing a platform for the 18 candidates participating in the “Celebrating 15th Anniversary of the Macao Special Administrative Region - Talents Group Investigation Plan” to carry out exchanges with the members of this Committee, representatives from local associations, enterprises and academic institutions and the general public. Furthermore, 12 candidates will deliver keynote speech on specific topics, e.g. information and technology, healthcare, talents, etc., as well as share their experiences in the industries.

The themes of the two seminars are "Information and Technology" and "Other Industries". Speakers of the former include product design manager of a high-tech microelectronic enterprise in Mainland China, business manager of fiber communications products of a Taiwan technology company, senior manager of technological department of a technological application company in the United States, former manager of marketing and communications department of a renowned US-funded computer company, and technological manager of a fund management company in Australia. Speakers in the Seminar on Other Industries include senior customer manager of a Hong Kong bank, founder of a business strategy company, partner of a life technology company, attending physician of neurology in Taiwan, exhibition sales and project manager of a cultural expo company in Mainland China, and tenured professor and postgraduate supervisor of department of fine arts of a university in the United States. At the seminars, participants will give an introduction of the development of the industries they are engaged in and share their personal career path and work experience, in addition to proposing recommendations on the development of relevant industries in Macao.
